The Wythe Hotel has their own in house catering and pastry chefs, so we worked with them on the little treats for the table and the cake. We couldn't have been more delighted when we saw what they created! Gold doughnuts?! A malachite inspired cake with a gold tree stand?! Just stunning.

A little info on the Wythe for you:

The shoot was done in the Main Event Hall of Wythe Hotel, which opened in 2012 on the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn, New York. Originally built as a cooperage in 1901, Wythe features many beautifully preserved details of the building’s industrial character – including original pine beams, masonry, arched windows and cast-iron columns. The Main Event Hall can host up to 250 guests, and can be used for both seated dinners and cocktail receptions. All catering is done in-house through Reynard, Andrew Tarlow's ground-floor restaurant. The menu, from Chef Sean Rembold, features seasonal, market-driven local American fare. There are also additional venues in the hotel available for private events - a private dining room, the hotel's loft suites, as well as an outdoor courtyard.

Styled Shoot: Oz, the Great and Powerful Part 1: Behind the Scenes

I had the amazing opportunity this February to work with a team of oh-so-talented wedding professionals to put together a shoot inspired by the new movie "Oz, the great and powerful".... here is a sneak peek behind the scenes, stay tuned for the final images!

For the hair and makeup, Ellen and Eve knew that the look of the flowers and overall theme were going to be green and luxe so the hair makeup had to compliment the style of the shoot.

The first look was natural glam, easy breezy beauty with a light apricot lip and a pair of lashes to add some oomph. The looks progressed as the hairstyles changed but Ellen made sure to use sultry and subtle shades of raspberry plum and red to pop  Melissa's lips.
