Here at HC, you might be surprised to know that we are really passionate about lowering our carbon footprint! It's a passion for the whole team (in and out of the workplace), and especially over the past year with the new branding - we took the time to implement eco-friendly packaging where ever we can.
Read on to hear about how we are doing our part, we hope to inspire you!
Always recycled paper boxes!
Using stickers that don't have a glossy finish and printed with eco-friendly inks, means you can recycle them!
Dissolves in water! We said GOODBYE to harmful styrofoam and switched to these biodegradable fillers!
Un-used scraps at the studio? We use FabSrap to reuse the pieces that don't work for us...but might work for someone else! Check them out here.
Paper packing tape!
Mailers in fun metallics look nice, but they are terrible for the environment - so we have switched to paper mailers!
Stamps! We used a local artisan to create custom stamps for us. These little guys can be used over and over again!
Plus, you can decorate boxes without plastic....
Tada! An entirely recycle-able box and we encourage our brides to do exactly that!
To round things out, here are a few of my favorite things to use in my day-to-day life to support keeping the Earth clean and healthy!
Speaking of iced coffee...I've got one more trick for you! How many of you hate holding that cold plastic cup that sweats all over your hand? ME TOO. I used to grab one of those paper cup holders, but not any more! I've got this!
p.s. yep, it works great in the winter too!
It's Iced Coffee season! Did you know that Americans use an estimated 500 million straw A DAY?! Yikessssss. Skip the plastic straw...and carry your own metal straws! I seriously keep these in my bag, plus they keep the iced coffee really cold!

My other favorite easy-to-implement product is...beeswax storage paper! STOP USING CLING WRAP. This company from Australia has the coolest prints, and great quality!
